Our Emergency Medical Dispatchers are standing by 24 hours per day, ready to answer your call in all three national languages (English, Sinhala, Tamil). Our Emergency Dispatchers are trained to provide you emergency first aid advice while dispatching a rapid response team and ambulance to your location. Emergency First Aid advice is offered as a free service in Sri Lanka.

In an emergency medical situation, a rapid response is critical. To cut through traffic and get to you quickly, our Emergency Dispatchers will use GPS to send the closest rapid response team to your location. Our team will arrive fast, and immediately start lifesaving treatment.

In an emergency, treatment during the 'golden hour' may be the difference between life and death. In Sri Lanka, Falck's ambulances are safe, modern, comfortable and fully equipped with with all the latest diagnostic and treatment equipment. A Falck ambulance is more than just transportation, it's a mobile medical unit ready to provide on-the-spot life-saving treatment. All of our ambulances are staffed by Emergency Medical Technicians or MBBS qualified Doctors trained to the international standards for pre-hospital emergency care.

air medevac

Falck's Air Medevac service offers island wide medical evacuation services. This ensures that no matter where you may be traveling in Sri Lanka we will have you covered. Medical evacuation services are customized for your specific requirement and may include an airplane, helicopter, or a combination of both. To request an air medical evacuation and receive a price quote, call our 24 hour help line: 1990. Please be prepared to provide our staff the pick-up location, preferred receiving hospital, and the medical condition. (Note, flights are subject to weather conditions and local flight regulations.)

Any time day or night, our rapid response teams are available to come to the privacy of your home or office to collect your labs. If you do not already have a physician order for the lab test(s), our doctor on call service is available 24-hours for home and office visits.

Australasian Registry of EMTs

Falck is the only recognized testing and training site for AREMT in Sri Lanka. AREMT certificates awarded in Sri Lanka are recognized internationally.

American Safety & Health Institute

Falck is accredited through the American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) as a Training Center. This means that Falck is able to offer internationally recognized certificates in First Aid, CPR, and more advanced courses right here in Sri Lanka. This is the first time that internationally recognized certificates of such a nature have been available in Sri Lanka.

Ministry of Healthcare & Nutrition

Falck is registered with the Private Health Services Regulatory Council, Ministry of Healthcare and Nutrition of Sri Lanka as a "Medical Man Power Training Institute". Registration number: PHSRC/OMI/182. Additionally, Falck is an approved training center for the Ministry of Health, Trauma Secretariat.

Lifesaver First Aid is a low priced, one-day course designed by Falck specifically for Sri Lanka. This course focuses on the essential lifesaving skills that you need to remember during an emergency. Lifesaver First Aid follows international standards and is designed specifically for Sri Lanka. Course details are as follows:

ASHI first aid

American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) Basic First Aid + CPR is a premium, international standard, first aid course that offers students a First Aid and CPR certificate that is recognized internationally. This course requires basic, baseline understanding of how the human body works as well as a high degree of proficiency in the English language. This course combines skills training with video and lecture modules which include first aid theory and other background information. This course is offered either as a traditional two day first aid course or as a blended learning course:

This course requires basic, baseline understanding of how the human body works. This course combines skills training with video and lecture modules which include first aid theory and other background information. Course details are as follows:

Emergency Medical Responder

Falck's Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) course takes basic first aid + CPR training to the next level. The course is designed to provide participants with a higher degree of understanding of first aid and rescue procedures not covered in the basic first aid curriculum. This course is ideally suited for those working in high-risk environments as designated emergency responders. The English ASHI Emergency Medical Responder course follows the current USDOT curriculum and is accredited by the American Safety & Health Institute. The Sinhala/Tamil Emergency Medical Responder course is approved by the Ministry of Health, Trauma Secretariat.

Emergency Medical Technician

Falck's Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course is the most advanced and intensive Basic Life Support (BLS) course available in Sri Lanka. The course is designed to provide participants with essential medical and rescue skills and knowledge including: triage, vital signs, rescue techniques, patient stabilization and other BLS treatment. This course is ideally suited for those working in high-risk environments as full-time emergency responders. The Falck EMT course follows the current USDOT curriculum and is approved by the Australasian Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (English) or the Ministry of Health, Trauma Secretariat (Sinhala/Tamil).

Professional CPR

American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) Professional CPR is a premium, international standard, CPR course that offers medical professionals a Professional CPR certificate that is recognized internationally. This course is designed for health care professionals and requires a high degree of proficiency in the English language. This course combines skills training with video and lecture modules which include CPR theory and other background information. This course is offered either as a traditional full day CPR course or as a blended learning course:

Advanced Cardiac Life Support

American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) ACLS is designed for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the resuscitation of patients, whether inside or outside of a hospital. Through the ACLS course, providers will enhance their skills in the treatment of the adult victim of a cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies, with an emphasis on the importance of basic life support CPR. Participants will practice the integration of effective basic life support with advanced cardiovascular life support interventions; and the importance of effective team interaction and communication during resuscitation.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support

American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) PALS is designed for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the resuscitation of pediatric patients, whether inside or outside of a hospital. Through the PALS course, providers will enhance their skills in the treatment of the pediatric victim of medical emergencies, with an emphasis on the importance of basic life support. Participants will practice the integration of effective basic life support with advanced life support interventions; and the importance of effective team interaction and communication during treatment.
